We are a support group for those with Multiple Myeloma, their caregivers, families and friends. Our purpose is to share, encourage and support each other, and to benefit from the knowledge and camaraderie this engenders.
The Villages Support Group is one of a worldwide network of more than 150 myeloma support groups that hold regular meetings for members of the myeloma community. Although the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) does not sponsor our groups, they support our efforts and provide valuable information and resources. See myeloma.org
Our membership includes patients recently diagnosed or diagnosed as far back as 1998. Some have had transplants, others have not, some are in remission and others are on maintenance therapy.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center, 1985 Laurel Manor Drive, The Villages, FL Tel: 352-751-7110
We have a guest speaker on relevant topics at most meetings, and/or open discussion among the members. New ideas and topics are always welcome.
